Guests staying at Home2 Suites: get off at Yaphank.
Tickets can be purchased 1) before you ride via the MTA TrainTime app, 2) at a ticket office or ticket vending machine at the train station, or 3) on the train (this will cost an additional ~$6.00 per ticket).
DRIVING
Enter 187 Roe Avenue, East Patchogue NY 11772 on your GPS/Google Maps/Waze. Be sure to account for traffic, it can be significant on the weekends!
Street parking is available around Roe Farm. However, we strongly encourage those driving to Long Island and staying at one of the two hotels to leave your car at the hotel and use our shuttle service to and from the wedding, as parking on Roe Avenue will be limited. (This will also ensure everyone arrives on time!)
DRESS CODE
There is no dress code: just wear what you love, what makes you feel fabulous. August in New York is generally hot and humid, but the weather has been erratic this summer, so check the weather ahead of time! The wedding will be outdoors on uneven, grassy terrain, so we recommend no stilettos.
The after party will be poolside, weather permitting, so bring your swimsuit/towel if you plan to swim.
CHILDREN
FOOD
Our menu includes a variety of meat, vegetables, and desserts, and has a number of vegan and gluten-free options. We will not provide menu options specifically for children. Parents: please bring any necessary food items your children might need over the course of the day.
SWIMMING
Children may swim in the pool after the cocktail hour, and we will have a trusted friend on hand to supervise. Plan a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes if you would like your children to take a dip. Please have children change outside by the pool, or dry them off completely before going into the restroom trailer, which we need to keep dry!
SUNDAY
BRUNCH
11:00AM: Hotel check-out + shuttle pick-up at the Hyatt and Home2 hotels
11:30AM: Casual bagel brunch at the Domino Yacht Club (down the street from Roe Farm at 484 Roe Ave, with parking available)
1:00PM: End of brunch, shuttle pick-up for those going to the beach on Fire Island
LUGGAGE DROP-OFF
We will schedule a baggage drop-off at Roe Farm on the way from the hotel to Domino. If you plan to go to the beach on Fire Island and don’t want to bring your weekend luggage with you to the beach, you can leave it at Roe Farm during the day.
BEACH
1:00PM: End of brunch, shuttle pick-up for those going to the beach on Fire Island
1:30PM: Dedicated ferry departure
2:00PM: Arrival at Davis Park Beach
The round trip ferry ticket is $17.50, with a $1.00 surcharge for credit card payments.
The day rate for non-resident parking in the lot is $25.
The Davis Park beach has public bathrooms and outdoor showers, a small convenience store for essentials (snacks, drinks, beach umbrellas if needed), and a terrace cafe/restaurant. There is no shade, so bring what you need to be comfortable.
We anticipate guests will want to spend different amounts of time at the beach, so the return from Davis Park will be self-organized. Ferries run approximately every hour. There will be no shuttle service from the ferry terminal back to the hotels or train stations.
For those without a car, it will be easiest to check out of the hotel Sunday morning, bring your belongings to Roe Farm on the morning shuttle, and leave them at Roe Farm. When returning from the beach, take a taxi or Uber from the ferry terminal to Roe Farm (10-minute trip), pick up your belongings, then go to the Patchogue LIRR station (7-minute trip).
